Jesus didn't come to make us non-sinners, He came to tell us that we are forgiven sinners.

What are your thoughts?

Re: Forgiven sinners. Not non-sinners.

Justice = Getting what I deserve

Mercy = Not Getting what I deserve

Grace = Getting what I don't deserve

Re: Forgiven sinners. Not non-sinners.

Thanks, Blanton.

Reminds me of the distinction between justice and non-justice:

Justice is getting what we deserve.

Non-justice happens two ways.
Getting what we do not deserve to our advantage. This is called MERCY.
Getting what we do not deserve to our disadvantage. This is called INJUSTICE.

Everyone who is condemned gets what they deserve. They get JUSTICE.

Everyone who is redeemed gets what they don't deserve, NON-JUSTICE to their
advantage. They get MERCY.

The only one who gets what he doesn’t deserve, NON-JUSTICE to his disadvantage is Jesus. He gets INJUSTICE so we could have mercy and redemption.

Re: Forgiven sinners. Not non-sinners.

I find that we are identified as saints after we are in Christ and not sinners. Therefore I see us as Saints who sin sometimes.
